Winter 2012 Classes

We proudly offer the following courses for Winter, 2012. For additional information, call the church office (273-2712) or Don Bortell (254-0353). Enroll by clicking on "I'll try it!" or the facilitator and email your name, primary phone, secondary phone in case of emergency, and email address. Classes begin Tuesday, January 24th at 6:00PM unless otherwise stated.

Connections Course —Susan Ledbetter, Don Scott, Brenda Meyer, and Johnny Haney, 6 weekly sessions, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sundays, January 22nd through February 26th. Content includes Methodism, Spiritual Gifts, Doctrine, and Church History. The class is for prospective members. "I'll Try it!"

History of Bentonville First UMC – Johhny Haney. Our church’s fascinating history revealed in 1 sessions , Feb. 21, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. All materials provided. No charge. There is walking through the church involved in this class. "I'll try it!"

James: Mercy Triumphs, a Beth Moore Study – Cricket Scott. Women’s Bible study, 8 weekly video sessions beginning Jan. 24th, 6:00 -7.45 p.m. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Dr. Del Tackett’s The Truth Project – David Dickey, 13 weekly DVD and discussion based sessions, 6:00 -7:30 p.m. beginning January 24th. Here is help putting humanistic philosophies, relativism, and Christian living in proper perspective. No cost. "I'll try it!" RSVP for childcare here.

The following Disciple classes began in August, 2011 and are closed for enrollment. However, Disciple classes are offered each Fall. If you would like to pre-enroll for a class beginning August 2012 click here on "I'll try it!"

The DISCIPLE Bible Study program is designed to develop stronger Christian churches through in-depth study of Scripture. Your first DISCIPLE course should be DISCIPLE 1 or 2.

DISCIPLE I: Becoming a Disciple, facilitator is Bryan Suiter. This is a basic introduction to the Bible. No previous knowledge is assumed. By the end of the course, you will have read 70% of the Bible. There are 32 sessions beginning at 6:00PM, on September 6th, in the church. The cost is $37.00. Click "I'll try it!" if interested. DISCIPLE II: Into the Word/Into the World, facilitator - tba. This is a 32 week study of Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts. This is a good first or second DISCIPLE course because you get an understanding of the Christian year. There are 32 sessions beginning September 6th, at 6:00PM, at the church. The cost is $37.00.
