Joyce Hutchens
Director/Lead Teacher - 4's
"Ms. Joyce" is in her 4th year at Explore & Discover Preschool. She has a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas and has an Arkansas Teacher's Certificate. She taught full time for three years in the Bentonville Public School District then became a stay-at-home mom. During that time, both of her children attended Explore & Discover Preschool. In 2007, Joyce began working at Explore & Discover as Director and Lead Teacher.

Wilma Bagwell
Lead Teacher - 3's, Assistant Teacher - 4's
"Ms. Wilma" joins us for her ninth year at Explore & Discover. Wilma attended Southwest Missouri State University and received her B.S. Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education (K-12). She taught for six years in Nevada, Missouri at the middle school level working with children with learning disabilities. She taught three years in Bentonville at the junior high level again working with students with learning disabilities. After a leave of absence to be a full time mom, she returned to substitute teach for two years at the elementary schools in Bentonville. In 2002, Wilma joined the teaching staff at Explore & Discover.

Kari Mosher
Wednesday Break Teacher/Substitute
"Ms. Kari" comes in on Wednesday to give Ms. Joyce and Ms. Wilma their breaks and assist with lunchtime for the children. She also works as a floater for the Wee Friends program. Kari has a CDA certificate, and has worked with children in many different settings, including previously substituting for Explore & Discover. Kari, and her husband Jason, live in Bella Vista with their daughter, Emma, who is 7.
Our teachers are experienced early childhood educators. They participate in continuing education programs in order to remain alert to research in the field of preschool education and the ever-changing needs of today's families. Our teachers are also active members of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). They keep current in their CPR training and all of the required background checks required by state and federal governments.
