Tara Hudson

Director/Lead Teacher, Explore & Discover Three-Year-Old Class

Tara Hudson has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, and worked at Wayland for 8 years.  She brings a wealth of early childhood experience to Explore & Discover including teaching at a private Christian preschool in Bentonville, working at the Early Childhood Center  in the Bentonville Public Schools, and owning and operating her own daycare for two and one half years.  She resides in Bentonville with her husband and is mother to four children:  two sons who attend Bentonville High School, a daughter who attends the University of Arkansas, and a daughter who teaches in the Bentonville Public Schools.

Leslie Shewmaker

Leslie Shewmaker has a Bachelor's Degree in English supplemented with additional study in Education.  Before staying home to raise her four children--who all graduated from the Explore & Discover Preschool program!--for 11 years, she worked in Marketing.  Leslie's experience also includes substitute teaching at Explore & Discover, in addition to serving as a Board Member for the Preschool from 2007-2009.  More recently she has worked as a Library Aide at Sugar Creek Elementary School in Bentonville and coached a "Girls on the Run" organization based at that school.
