Mission Projects

The Mission of First United Methodist Church of Bentonville is "Bringing People Together to Share God's Love."  We live out this mission through a myriad of hands on service projects, educational opportunities, family ministries and a desire to help meet the basic needs of our neighbors.  It is our intention to share the light of Christ by our words and actions.  Whether the project is outfitting children in need with new shoes for school, filling bags full of groceries through our Second Street Pantry, feeding lunch to the hungry in our neighborhood or making contributions toward global mission and relief efforts such as disaster supplies and measures to combat diseases of poverty, the people of First UMC dedicate themselves through their time, talent and resources.

It is a privilege, responsibility and honor to serve Christ by extravagantly and sacrificially giving of ourselves.  Our congregation is involved with multiple agencies and service organizations in our community such as Habitat for Humanity, Helping Hands, Havenwood, Decision Point and Meals on Wheels.  We pledge to continue to respond to the Holy Spirit's promptings and discern new opportunities for mission and outreach.  We are committed to living out the Great Commandment to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, soul, mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

To that end, we also make our facilities available for those groups who would like to serve in missions in Northwest Arkansas.  Learn more here.
