Valley - Death and Distance
Rev. Dr. Michelle Morris
Jeremiah 7:32-34; Ezekiel 37:1-3
And now something has happened to drive us from God. Maybe it was failure at the revolution. Maybe we feel abandoned. Maybe we have had a loss that threatens to undo us. We are in the valley now. Valleys are where wars take place, and valleys are where the bones of the fallen are bleached in the sun. But is all hope lost?

Community Events

Join the Creation Care Team for a Forest Bathing (no water involved!)
Forest Bathing is based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku (roughly translated to Forest Bathing.) It is a slow, sensory-based walk in the woods, during which we focus on the sights, sounds, smells, feels and tastes of nature. This is neither a naturalist exploration nor a fitness trek; this walk is about soaking in the vast benefits of spending relaxed time in nature. It’s also about tending and mending our relationships with nature, ourselves, and others. There are no requirements – just come as you are. The walk will end with a tea gathering to celebrate our time together and to pause and appreciate the place where we are. It is limited to 15 people, so sign up early. Yes, you may invite a friend as long as the registration hasn't closed.

Cost: $20.00 Per Person
Date/Time: Saturday, Nov 15, 2025 | 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Venue: Park Springs Park
Address : 300 Northwest 3rd Street, Bentonville, AR, USA
Please sign up HERE

Trunk or Treat Community Food Drive
Parents and grandparents, you have an opportunity to take your kids to a Trunk or Treat this Saturday, October 25, from 5-7 pm at 1114 N Walton Blvd, which is a multi-business location. The businesses will provide the treats for you and your kids; your entrance fee is one can of non-perishable food item or $2.00. The businesses will donate the entrance fee/food to Second Street Pantry Missions. Kids get treats, and our non-profit will get food.

New Name, Same Mission: Introducing Creation Care
We're excited to share that our Environmental Care Team has a new name: Creation Care! This new name better reflects the heart of our mission — caring for all aspects of God’s creation, including the land, water, animals, and humans. Creation Care represents an expanded vision of our work and aligns more closely with the United Methodist Church Social Principles regarding stewardship of the Earth. While the name has changed, our commitment remains the same — honoring and protecting the world God has entrusted to us.

Charge Conference November 16
Please make plans to attend our yearly charge conference meeting on Sunday, November 16 from 2:30-4pm. We will share in our United Methodist Connection, and there will be breakout sessions to learn more about ministry possibilities. Anyone is invited, and we would love to see many of you there!

Missional Prayer is now on Zoom
