Community Events
It is time. Volunteer to help with Run Bentonville Half Marathon & 5K
Please sign up individually and note 'First United Methodist Church Bentonville’ so that we will be eligible for a $500 incentive bonus for having 25 volunteers. I’m told the most help is needed at these locations:
Friday, April 3rd at the Expo. The role is called 'Expo Hero' The Expo is on the 6th floor of the Ledger Building. Four slots are still open for Gilmore Park and the Relay Exchange location where we've been in the past. The biggest needs are the Course Marshals along the route. Sign Up at the Run Bentonville Half Marathon & 5K here
Remember to Vote!
Rev. Susan Henry-Crowe, the prior general secretary of the General Board of Church and Society of The United Methodist Church said, “Voting is a matter of faith, citizenship and democracy. It is a kind of prayer and faithful testament to the belief that every citizen bears a responsibility and equal right to determine the future of governance in society.” Do you know that the Benton County election administrator predicts only “around 20%” of Benton County registered voters will vote in this primary? Please prove the administrator wrong and cast your vote on, or before, March 3.
