Community Events

Beer & Hymns | I'm Every Woman | March 15 at Bike Rack | 5PM
To celebrate Women's History Month, our March event is for women, about women, and sung by women. That's right - Ken is stepping back from the mic to make room for some amazing female singers!
All ages and all people welcome!
Our featured charity for March is SOAR Afterschool Program. Filling the gap between the school day and workday, SOAR provides a safe and affordable place for students to learn, build relationships, and practice skills for future success. They believe every child has the capacity to be a leader - in their schools, families, and communities. SOAR partners with hardworking families in NWA to ensure that students have the critical supports and opportunities they need to develop their full potential.
Beer & Hymns brings people together to raise our glasses, raise our voices, and raise funds for organizations that change the world.

Lenten Webinar Series: "Ashes to Action: Lent as Non-Violent Resistance"
As we approach the Lenten season, communities across the United States and around the world are confronting growing threats to democracy and civil and human rights. Lent is not only a season of reflection; it is a season of repentance, resistance, and courageous prophetic witness. It calls us to denounce systems of oppression and turn toward God’s promise of justice, dignity, and new life.

This 2-hour interactive webinar series, provided through the UMC General Board of Church and Society, will provide participants with practical tools for nonviolent resistance training and examine the power of noncooperation for individuals, local congregations and annual conferences on faithful resistance. Register here. If you'd like to watch with others, please contact Johnna Kosnoff ( ) and we might organize a group.

Build Anti-Racist Conversation Skills

I learned so much from this course and hope to experience it again with you—it’s truly worth your time. Contact Johnna Kosnoff ( ) with questions. Missional Prayer
Please continue to pray the prayer written by Pastor Michelle as we dream about possibilities for our church and our land. Also, if you want to pray with others as a group, contact Johnna Kosnoff ( ). We'd love to have you join us!
God of wonders and miracles,
Let me dream your dreams
And let me see your visions
So that I might do my part
To stop the nightmares of many.
Let my mind and my heart be open
So that I might know what doors
You want me to open
For the neighbors you call me to love.
Talk to you later/Amen
