Submitting To Be More Vile
Kristin Wells
Mark 2:13-17
As we begin a new series exploring significant moments in Methodist history, we’ll look at how founder John Wesley challenged religious and social norms in pursuit of the Gospel. United Methodists are proud of our Wesleyan heritage, but some of us still wrestle with an important question: did Wesley’s witness truly resemble the way of Jesus? What does it mean to faithfully follow in Christ’s steps — and if we find the answer, will it change anything about the way we live?

All ages and all people welcome!

Bike to Church Sunday, May 17th
As part of National Bike Month, we’ve been encouraging simple ways to incorporate biking into everyday life—as a way to care for creation and connect with one another. This Sunday, May 17, is a great opportunity to give it a try.

Ride to Church
If you’re able, consider riding your bike to church this Sunday. Whether it’s a short trip or a longer ride, every bit counts—and all levels are welcome.
Easy & Secure Bike Parking
We’ll have additional bike parking set up in the green area, with volunteers present at all three services to help monitor bikes and keep them secure.
Come as You Are
Feel free to attend the service in your bike attire—no need to change unless you want to.
After-Church Ride & Picnic (11am)
At 11am, there will be a relaxed group ride to Crystal Bridges led by Chrissy Britton and family, ending with a picnic. Bring your own lunch and join as you’re able. Contact Chrissy with any questions ( ) .

Whether you ride to church, join the group ride, or simply come to be part of the morning, we hope you’ll take part in this shared moment of community and care for creation.

Parking Lot Hospitality Team Forming
We will be starting a new Parking Lot Hospitality Team to provide a welcome just as soon as people pull into our parking lot. You can also help direct people to other lots if our lot is full. You can also help those who need assistance coming in to have an easier time. If you like being outdoors and welcoming people to our church home, as well as help with safety aspects for our church, make plans to attend a training on May 31 at 4 p.m. in the Gathering Room. If you want to be part of this team, text Brett Morrison (479-936-6677) to let him know you want to be part of this new team!

Interested in Mental Health First Aid training?
The chances that someone you know will face a mental health crisis grows more and more likely each day. Would you like to have the training to know how to get them help? We are going to offer another Mental Health First Aid training in July, but would like to find out which day works best for people. If you are interested, please fill out our interest form at this link HERE, and let us know what works for you

Interested in joining a Wesleyan Soul Group?
We are far too isolated these days, struggling with loneliness and a lack of real human connection. We also need spaces that help us deepen our relationship with God. If you are interested in addressing both things, consider joining a Wesleyan soul group, where people gather once a week to ask each other two questions: "How is it with your soul?" and "Where did you see God at work this week?" To share your interest and availability, click this link HERE and we will reach out to you when we have enough people to form a group.
