Hearts on Fire

Beer & Hymns | The 80's | May 24 Bike Rack Brewing | 5-7PM
Presented by: Greenwood Gearhart and the Beyond Us Foundation

Neon lights. Air guitar. Synth riffs you know by heart.

Beer & Hymns is going full 80’s this May, and we’re ready to sing loud enough to wake the neighbors.

All ages and all people welcome!

Our featured charity for May is New Beginnings. New Beginnings operates a bridge housing community working to help Northwest Arkansas end homelessness. Their work focuses on improving the conditions of people who are unsheltered or unhoused in Fayetteville and beyond, creating pathways toward stability and dignity.

Beer & Hymns brings people together to raise our glasses, raise our voices, and raise funds for organizations that change the world

Parking Lot Hospitality Team Forming
We will be starting a new Parking Lot Hospitality Team to provide a welcome just as soon as people pull into our parking lot. You can also help direct people to other lots if our lot is full. You can also help those who need assistance coming in to have an easier time. If you like being outdoors and welcoming people to our church home, as well as help with safety aspects for our church, make plans to attend a training on May 31 at 4 p.m. in the Gathering Room. If you want to be part of this team, text Brett Morrison (479-936-6677) to let him know you want to be part of this new team!

Final Fun Friday | May 29 | 1:30PM
This will be our final gathering before taking a summer break. Please join us for fellowship, games, and snacks. Feel free to bring food to share, and your own non-alcoholic drinks.

Interested in Mental Health First Aid training?
The chances that someone you know will face a mental health crisis grows more and more likely each day. Would you like to have the training to know how to get them help? We are going to offer another Mental Health First Aid training in July, but would like to find out which day works best for people. If you are interested, please fill out our interest form at this link HERE, and let us know what works for you

Interested in joining a Wesleyan Soul Group?
We are far too isolated these days, struggling with loneliness and a lack of real human connection. We also need spaces that help us deepen our relationship with God. If you are interested in addressing both things, consider joining a Wesleyan soul group, where people gather once a week to ask each other two questions: "How is it with your soul?" and "Where did you see God at work this week?" To share your interest and availability, click this link HERE and we will reach out to you when we have enough people to form a group.

Bike to Church AGAIN
The Creation Care Team is happy to know that many of you enjoyed biking to church last weekend! National Bike Month continues throughout May, and we encourage you to keep riding—whether to church, work, school, or the grocery store. The church has bike racks or sturdy posts for locking bikes on all four sides of the church, as well as across 2nd Street near Preacher’s Son. As the weather stays beautiful, we invite you to celebrate creation and enjoy getting around by bike whenever you can!
