God Opens & Closes Doors
Phillip Mills

Be Part of the 200x500!
As we have worked on our budget for 2025-26, we are excited to celebrate the growth we have experienced. But we have also had some losses from deaths and moves that have impacted the budget for a total of about $100k loss. We need some extra commitments to sustain this growth. If 200 of us commit an extra $500 annually, we can do this! Let us know that you will be part of this by clicking on the link and filling out a commitment card (even if you have already done one - share your add), or contact Chandra Rogers at
office@fumcbentonville.org. And if you can give more to cover those who have given all they can, you will help our church family in significant ways. Or if you can’t give $500 more but can give some, that helps too! Please let us know by May 20 so we can finalize the budget. And thank you for your generosity and commitment to FUMC Bentonville.
Community Events
Beer & Hymns | May 4 at 5PM | Tontitown Winery
Here Comes the Sun (and Beer & Hymns!)
May is bringing the sunshine, and we’re ready to sing our hearts out with a theme inspired by The Beatles! Come together with us for joyful music, great beer, and generous giving—this month we’re supporting New Beginnings NWA.
New Beginnings operates a bridge housing community to help Northwest Arkansas end homelessness. They are seeking to improve the conditions of unsheltered homeless people living in Fayetteville and beyond.
Beer & Hymns brings people together to raise our glasses, raise our voices, and raise funds for organizations that change the world.

Roses and Breads
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11, this year.
The Chancel Choir is making and selling rose corsages to wear in honor (red) or in memory (white) of your mother. Roses can be purchased by clicking the link HERE or filling out a form in worship on April 27 or May 4. Suggested Donation is $7 each. Quantities are limited. Corsages will be available on Mother’s Day outside Hines Hall or in the Narthex. We will also be offering homemade quick breads for $10.
(What an easy Mother's Day brunch idea!)
Hospitality Team Training May 4
Do you have the gift of helping people feel welcome? Would you love to use that gift to welcome people in our church? Plan to attend Hospitality Team training at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4. We especially need help with the new service and to help with an expansion of the team into the parking lot to also aid security. Lunch will be provided, so let Pastor Michelle know you are coming and if you have any dietary restrictions (
michelle@fumcbentonville.org, 870-635-1519).
Coming Soon - The Gathering Unplugged!
Thanks to significant growth in The Gathering, we are beginning a new service on Pentecost, June 8! It will be The Gathering Unplugged, a near repeat of The Gathering with a few adjustments to meet a compressed timeframe of 10:10-10:50am. If you want to provide help for this service, contact Pastor Michelle. And all of you, pray for this service. Pray it is a time of worship that will reach new people for Jesus Christ and give space for all who are coming in our doors just seeking to have a place. May we always have the kind of room in our building that God has in his heart.
