The Place for Women
Rev. Dr. T. Ray Wheeler
Psalm 1: 1-3
Think of a woman in your life who has been strong for you - a woman who has been your strong tower when you were weak. A woman who has cared for you physically or spiritually. Susanna Wesley was that for Charles and John Wesley. She was a spiritual leader and confidant for John late into his ministry. In many ways, Susanna was not only the mother of Charles and John but the mother of Methodism. Who has been the woman of wisdom and strength for you in your life? Let’s celebrate those women today!

Be Part of the 200x500!
As we have worked on our budget for 2025-26, we are excited to celebrate the growth we have experienced. But we have also had some losses from deaths and moves that have impacted the budget for a total of about $100k loss. We need some extra commitments to sustain this growth. If 200 of us commit an extra $500 annually, we can do this! Let us know that you will be part of this by clicking on the link and filling out a commitment card (even if you have already done one - share your add), or contact Chandra Rogers at
. And if you can give more to cover those who have given all they can, you will help our church family in significant ways. Or if you can’t give $500 more but can give some, that helps too! Please let us know by May 20 so we can finalize the budget. And thank you for your generosity and commitment to FUMC Bentonville.
The Bishop is Coming
Bishop Laura Merrill will be preaching and presiding over worship on Sunday, May 18. Come hear her vision for our church and support the work of such an inspiring leader for Christ!

Coming Soon - The Gathering Unplugged!
Thanks to significant growth in The Gathering, we are beginning a new service on Pentecost, June 8! The Gathering Unplugged will be a near repeat of The Gathering with a few adjustments to meet a compressed time frame of 10:10-10:50am. If you want to provide help for this service, contact Pastor Michelle. And all of you, pray for this service. Pray it is a time of worship that will reach new people for Jesus Christ and give space for all who come in our doors just seeking to have a place. May we always have the room in our building that God has in God's heart.
Roses and Breads!
Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 11. The Chancel Choir is making and selling rose corsages to wear in honor of (red) or in memory of (white or pink) your mother. Roses can be purchased by clicking the link HERE. Suggested donation is $7 each. Quantities are limited. Corsages can be picked up Mother's Day outside Hines Hall or in the Narthex.
