Update on Steeple/Sanctuary Project Funding
We have recently shared that we have some immediate repairs that need to happen to our steeple and to our sanctuary, coming to a total cost of just under $63,000. We also shared that Endowment has committed $5000, we had $15,000 remaining in this year's Trustees budget, and we had a challenge offering of $20,000, meaning an anonymous donor would match every dollar given to the project up the $20,000. By Wednesday of this week, we had already raised $18,088.19

First Land Learning Lunch - Sunday, June 14
As we begin discerning the future of our church property, we want everyone to have the opportunity to understand the factors shaping this important conversation. To help provide that foundation, we will offer three Land Learning Lunches, the first of which will take place on Sunday, June 14, following the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

During the lunch, you will hear a presentation on the key considerations involved in evaluating possibilities for our land, including challenges facing the church, needs within our community, and the values that guide our decision-making. The purpose of these gatherings is to ensure that everyone has access to the same information as we begin this discernment process.

Because there is a significant amount of information to share and we want to be respectful of everyone's time, these lunches will be presentation-only events and will not include discussion or feedback during the session itself. However, opportunities to share your thoughts will be available immediately through written comments and online feedback. Beginning in mid-July, we will also host small-group conversations where everyone will be encouraged to share questions, concerns, ideas, and perspectives.

Each Land Learning Lunch will cover the same material, so you only need to attend one. For those who are unable to attend in person, we will record one of the presentations and make it available afterward.

We hope you will join us in learning more about this significant, generation-defining opportunity before us as we seek God's guidance for the future of our church and community.

Walmart Gives is Active for Walmart Associates!
Walmart Gives, the program that matches charitable giving of Walmart Associates 1:1, is active right now. The program is open until July 4, though funds may be exhausted before then, so if you would like to give to the church, use the Spark Good platform to make a donation that will then be matched as soon as possible. Note that our name in the system is First Methodist Church - check for our address of 201 NW 2nd St to confirm it is us. If you have questions or need to make adjustments to regular giving to use this opportunity, contact Chandra at .

Sunday Potluck - Bring a Dish to Share!
Celebrating our good Methodist heritage of gathering around the table together, we would love everyone to join in the potluck following worship on Sunday. Please bring a dish to share and leave it on the food tables before worship. And no, we have not assigned people to bring particular things - that's the fun of a potluck. Maybe we will have a whole meal of dessert. Maybe everyone will bring sliced ham. Who knows?!?! But come enjoy the fun, food, and fellowship together!

Pride Parade 2026
FUMC Bentonville will be participating in the 2026 Pride Parade in Fayetteville on Saturday 27 June. Beer & Hymns Pride Party | Tontitown Winery | Sunday June 7, 5PM
Come sing loud, love big, and raise a glass for Pride Month! June's Beer & Hymns events celebrate the joy of being Born This Way with a setlist full of anthems, glitter, and good vibes. We'll be raising money for Pride at NWACC, supporting LGBTQIA+ students at Northwest Arkansas Community College.
All ages and all people are welcome! Bring your true colors, your dancing shoes, and your biggest singalong energy.
The mission of Pride at NWACC is to create a place where the diverse LGBTQIA+ students and their fellow student allies/supporters can find connection, friendship and support regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Beer & Hymns brings people together to raise our glasses, raise our voices, and raise funds for organizations that change the world.
