Let Everyone Praise the Lord
Rev. Dr. Michelle Morris
Acts 2:1-11
Pentecost empowers everyone to hear the Good News. How well do we do at making space for all of those voices to praise God together? As we open the doors to another service, let’s recommit ourselves to affirming that All Are Welcome.

uRGENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Gathering Unplugged!
Thanks to significant growth in The Gathering, we are beginning a new service on Pentecost, June 8! The Gathering Unplugged will be a near repeat of The Gathering with a few adjustments to meet a compressed time frame of 10:10-10:50am. If you want to provide help for this service, contact Pastor Michelle. And all of you, please pray for this service. Pray it is a time of worship that will reach new people for Jesus Christ and give space for all who come in our doors just seeking to have a place. May we always have the room in our building that God has in God's heart.

Our First 4S - Second Saturday Supper and Stories - is Coming!
Mark your calendars and plan to come eat in Hines Hall on Saturday, June 14 at 5:30 p.m. for Second Saturday Supper and Stories! Each month we will gather and share stories and supper around a different theme. This month's theme is Family Vacations, and the menu will be deli fried chicken and picnic fixins (vegetarian and gluten free options will also be available). We need 2-3 people to kick off our time together by sharing a story of a family vacation with the whole group, so think about if you want to be one of those people. Otherwise, the rest of us will share our stories around tables together. This is a way to get to know each other better and grow in understanding of each other, so plan to join us each month for this fun food and fellowship time together!
Join our Missional Prayer Team!
We meet Mondays at 12:30pm in the Parlor to pray over the Mission and Vision of our church: Our church Mission is: Sharing Christ. Making Disciples. Our Vision is: To become the Spiritual Heart of Bentonville—a mission station equipping disciples to build relationships with those far from home or God. Each gathering begins with a short devotional, followed by a time of prayer guided by our mission and vision. While we regularly lift up the United Methodist Church, including Bishop Laura Merrill and our Conference leaders, as well as our Pastor Michelle, church staff, volunteers, ministries, and local and global leaders, our prayer time follows where the Holy Spirit leads. No two weeks are the same—our conversations and prayers reflect whatever is stirring in our hearts. If you feel called to this kind of open-hearted, Spirit-led prayer, we’d love for you to join us! Our meeting time may possibly be adjusted, depending on the needs of the group. If you have more questions, contact Johnna at

We Need to Talk About... Changes Since General Conference 2024
General Conference 2024 made a number of changes to our Book of Discipline and our overall church structure - some that require constitutional amendments that we will vote on at Annual Conference in June. Changes concern the role of the Deacons, our relationships with one another as a worldwide church, and allowance of ordination and weddings of LGBTQIA+ persons. Pastor Michelle will share these developments and what responsibilities and say the local church has on some of the decisions at a talk on Sunday, June 22 at 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Come ask your questions and share your perspectives on these developments.
