Coming Soon! Application for Intergenerational Talent Show Acts
Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, July 14 and running through Sunday, July 20 we will be taking applications for Intergenerational Talent Show Acts. The show will take place on Sunday, August 3 at 4:00 p.m. If we receive a significant number of submissions, we will have to limit participation. If so, each submitted act will be scored on three things:
- Time of entry of application (earlier you are, the more points you get)
- Number of generations represented in your act (more generations, more points - you must have at least 2 generations in your act to be eligible to perform)
- Uniqueness of your act
Remember, if you have an idea for an act but need more people, you can check the back wall in Hines Hall to see who has the talent you need. Watch next week's eNews for the link to register. Registration will not be active until 9 a.m. Monday, July 14, but you can bookmark the form to be ready to submit!
Evaluating Guest Pastor Chase Green's Sermon
Dear FUMC Bentonville,
As you know our pastor Ray Wheeler is a member of the Compelling Preaching Initiative. Last Sunday he “swapped” congregations with Chase Green, another participant in that program. Last Sunday, Chase Green, senior pastor at Goddard UMG in Fort Smith, preached here.

Mark Your Calendar for Christmas Stories in July
Mark your calendars for our next 4S: Second Saturday Supper and Stories on July 12 at 5:30 p.m. We will share our Christmas stories right around the time we wish it was a lot cooler, and enjoy a taco bar for supper. June's 4S was a blessing to everyone who attended, and to the Salvation Army who got our excess food. Come to Hines Hall and enjoy the cool, a free meal, and sharing life together!
Missional Prayer New Time
The Missional Prayer team will continue meeting on Mondays in the Parlor but we will be meeting at 12:00 through the summer. Reserve 30 minutes for prayer and come pray with us over lunch!
