Facility Manager


CHURCH MISSION STATEMENT:  “Sharing Christ, Making Disciples.”


POSITION CLASSIFICATION:  Regular Full-Time Management

SALARY RANGE:  $40,000 - $50,000

POSITION SUMMARY:  Ensure church facility is well-maintained through oversight of complex improvement projects, direct performance of minor maintenance work, setup and scheduling for church events and conduct regular preventative activities that will create a safe and secure environment.


  • Negotiate with contractors and oversee all complex repairs, alterations and improvements are properly performed at an efficient cost.
  • Directly perform minor maintenance work, such as touch-up painting, light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, flooring repair and plumbing repair.
  • Manage third party custodial contracts or in-house custodial employees.
  • Ensure property is kept in a safe condition, including regular inspection of fire suppression equipment, oversee snow and ice removal and monitor all access control and other security systems.
  • Conduct weekly facility inspections.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance to all building systems.
  • Manage all room set-up and teardown for various functions and meetings.
  • Coordinate with Church Office Accountant to ensure timely payment of all invoices.
  • Ensure all third-party service documents are obtained and properly stored, including but not limited to bids, quotes, contracts, certificates of insurance and warranties.
  • Coordinate with volunteers for various facility improvement projects.
  • Be available after regular business hours and weekends.
  • Attend needed after hours meetings to provide facility updates.
  • Engage in a positive, inclusive team-based environment with office staff.
